Technical information about Zulama's LCMS

Preferred Web Browser

The Zulama Learning and Content Management System (LCMS) is accessed through a web browser. For best results, use the latest version of Google Chrome, and Zulama also supports the latest versions of Safari and Internet Explorer. Zulama does not support Firefox because of incompatibilities with our LCMS.

Courses with Additional Hardware and Software Requirements

The Zulama LCMS is web-based and can be accessed from any computer that is connected to the internet. Many of the software programs that students learn to use (such as GameMaker and Unity 3D) are not web-based and will need to be downloaded and installed on computers. Mobile devices such as iPads, Kindles, Chromebooks, and smartphones will not be able to run third-party software programs.

Please see Requirements and Installation of Third-Party Software for more information on additional requirements for the following courses:

  • 3D Modelling I & II

  • GameMaker Programming I & II

  • Mobile Game Design for Windows

  • Mobile Game Design for Mac

  • Unity 3D Programming

Internet Connection

You will need to make sure your internet connection can handle the bandwidth demand when your Zulama students login and use the shared connection simultaneously. An overloaded connection can cause timeouts that can abort uploads and downloads and prevent videos and other lesson materials from displaying correctly.

Whitelisting Sites

Zulama uses a number of sites that need to be whitelisted by your school for the Zulama LCMS to function correctly. Zulama sends emails from the and domains, so they need to be whitelisted by your email program. Please whitelist the following domains:

  • and *

  • (also *.transloadit and *.*.transloadit)

    • some systems require the single and double wildcards, as shown above.

    • see Using the Export Links Button for how to determine which addresses need to be whitelisted for each course

    • we strongly recommend using ad blocking extensions on your browsers. This will prevent ads from appearing both before and during the YouTube videos we use in our courses.
